Citieslab is a unique entity that evokes the critical thinking of urban planning to provide practical and creative solutions for the many urban challenges faced by today’s cities. The practice provide practical solutions and inspiration that shall expose people to new and creative ideas and solutions to solve or mitigate urban problems.

The core activities of CitiesLab include:

• Joint cooperation with IAP in the field survey and design of the Indonesia Most Livable City index (MLCI).
• Research work around livability, urban issues, urbanization and Urban living
• Capacity building and planning workshops for private enterprises as well as public
• Exhibition, public participation program, field trip and visits and sister city programs

Citieslab is a collaboration effort between leading Indonesian and International experts in the field of urban & regional planning, urban design and development. Our Advisors and Fellow are leading thought leaders in the field. Citieslab was established in 2017 by Principals and Founders of Nusantara Urban Advisory (NUA) Dr. Hendricus Andy Simarmata and Adriadi Dimastanto to increase the capacity of planners within NUA. In the past year CitiesLab expanded its services to the urban surveys and researches, public engagement, capacity building, workshops, education events, etc. The daily operation of Cities Lab is managed by Dayinta Pinasthika. Inaugural corporate partners of Citieslab include: IAP, HD Asia Advisory, EAROPH Club Indonesia.
